Cabin Fever and Birthday fun!

It is just after 9:00 on snow day two and I am glued to my window waiting for the snow plow to come take the sow out of our alley! I really thought I would be able to get my car through the snow. It is only about a foot deep! I'm about to go shovel my way out!


I hope I can make it to at least a 10:30 yoga class. I love being home from work, but I don't really like being forced to stay home!


Ralphie and I are going to hang out and wait... he loves the snow.

I understand I live in a city that has a 'great' transit system, but being without my car is crippling! My car is parked in an alley behind our building. I like parking there because I don't have to worry about circling around a garage every time I come and go. I appreciate, except times like these.  The alley is city property so we are twiddling our thumbs waiting for Mayor Squeaky. Our alley comes after the thousands of miles of streets that still need cleared. Wonderful. Sigh.

So tonight, I am trying to figure out how to get THREE MILES up the street for a very important holiday: Mandy's birthday! I have a February birthday and I understand how it feels when people cancel on you because of weather. Not fun. So I am going to do everything in my power (walk, bus, walk some more) to get up the street to enjoy some Mexican birthday goodness! Happy Birthday Mandy!
