Packing detour

I need to pack. This is not like me at all! I usually have my bags packed and sitting by the door a full week before my vacations. Last night, I had cleared my schedule so I could pack. So I started to pull things out.... 6 dresses, 6 tanks, 3 shorts, 2 pants, 4 swim suits, 4 days worth of work out garb, socks, 3 pair of flip flops and two camera batteries later..... I got distracted. My mind wondered to my desperate need for a new pair of jeans. Instead of tending to the task at hand, I asked Rich if we wanted to go to Marshall's. He is a closet shopaholic, so of course he was on board!
After an hour and a half at Marshall's (seriously. An hour and a half. Rich has to look at everything three times and try it on twice), we both walked out empty handed!!!! Huge sad-face! We needed to make a purchase of some kind to get our parking validated, so we walked into Cost Plus, World Market. We both love getting things for the house and it is fun to see our home evolve into what we imagine. With a bottle of wine in my hand (of course), I walked by a great little coffee table! It was wood, like our house, and had just the right amount of charm! I told Rich we have to have it and he agreed! I also got a mini speech about how this is why we save our money, so we can make impulsive purchases such as this. Blah blah blah.

We lugged this thing to our car and up to our apartment and I enjoyed a glass of wine while Rich played furniture assembly man!

Viola! Cute, right?

Today is Rich's birthday and we are going to Cafe Ba Ba Reba for Tapas! Good thing Cassie and I got a good run in early this morning!! Early morning running is going to be my new best friend! Who wouldn't love watching the sun come up over the lake?

After dinner, we are packing. In 48 hours, I'll be in sunny Puerto Rico!
