We are back!!! What an amazing trip!
Well, the first day we went to St. Thomas and it is known for shopping and jewelry so we walked around the town and ate lunch at a local place called Gaby's for my birthday meal. After lunch we walked around more and tried on ridiculously expensive jewelry. So fun

The second stop was St. Maartin. It was really pretty. The capital of the Dutch side, Phillipsburg, was right at the port and it had a nice beach so we walked around the town then sat in the sunshine. We ate lunch at a place that our little book island recommended called Talula Mangos. It was right on the boardwalk. Great people watching! After lunch we headed to the French side of the island, Marigot. It was very European and cute.

The third day was Antigua. The island is small and known for their 365 beaches. We went to Fort John's Beach and it was beautiful! The water was a stunning turquoise blue. We found the beach in our Island book too. We had rum drinks and watched a local chop up coconuts for the people on the beach. The little town on the sea by the ship was cute and we walked around there for a while before going back.
Then we went to St. Lucia and took an all day island tour. I love to learn about the culture and the history of the island. I really wanted to see the Piton Mountains which were amazing. We ate lunch in an old sugar mill in the rain forest. From there we took a catamaran ride back to the ship. We stopped to swim in the sea for a little bit too. We got back and didn’t have a lot of time before we had to get back on the ship.

When we got back that night, it was a formal dinner night.... which we were not prepared for. Rich ordered room service of lobster dinners and we took our dinner and a bottle of champagne to the main dining room and had a nice little meal! Oh, an Rich ate TWO lobster dinners. Where else can you do that!?

The last day we were in Barbados. We took a snorkel trip to swim with giant sea turtles. It was unbelievable. They were so big and came so close to us. The locals feed them so they know where to come hang out. It was awesome. Maybe the best experience of my life. We also snorkeled over a shipwreck which was fun.
When we got back, we ate lunch at a place in our book (again) and had flying fish. Well, Rich had it and I tried it. The town there was the most developed out of all the cities we visited and had a lot of familiar stores. We walked in and out of them to enjoy the air conditioning. It was nice.

We sailed all day on the last day to get back to Puerto Rico. We laid by the pool, ate, read and relaxed. The ship docked for the final time in Old San Juan, which is a great little city full of history. I wish we would have been able to stay longer. I was amazed when I found a bakery I have seen on Samantha Brown's Weekend Travels! We had to stop! I have no idea what we ate, but it was heaven!!

I hope I didn't bore you to pieces. That was our trip in a nutshell. Now it is back to being a normal person who works for a living.
Ciao
