I secured my first fundraising venture! I am running the 2010 Chicago marathon this year for an awesome organization and I think this summer of fundraising is going to be a great experience! I decided early that I am not going to straight up ask people for money. Other than a few letters to the people who I know are stable enough to donate, I am going to spread fundraising cheer all over this city! I am starting with my all time favorite bakery in the city: Bleeding Heart Bakery. BHB is a punk rock bakery that blows all other donut diva’s out of the water! Bleeding Heart’s philosophy is to use local, sustainable and organic ingredients in all of their delectable delights! Anyway.... I am going to pick one cupcake (and I am strongly leaning towards red velvet) in the month of AUGUST and proceeds from all red velvet cupcakes will go to Friends of Prentice.
I am open to any ideas anyone has for fundraising. If anyone has had a positive experience, please share! I need a lot of ideas to carry me through this racing season

Okay so this isn't another idea for a fundraiser but I vote for the Veruca Salt or the Smore cupcake. Although, maybe you are better off with Red Velvet. There really are no bad choices!
