It is hard to explain to non runners why I run. Especially at this time in my life. I’m recovering an injury, yet I still can’t stay off the path. Running takes me through tough times, good times and straight up sour times. I have made friends with some great runners who are even better people. I don’t know why the runners I have met are some of the nicest, caring and benevolent people. Maybe its because they take care of themselves and therefore are generally happy? I don’t know. Probably never will. With this said, I was trying to explain my lifestyle to a non runner co-worker who is baffled why I continue to put the stress on my body. She is obviously worried I am going to injure myself beyond repair one of these days. I laugh. I’m tough. I’ll bounce back. We always do.
See you on the path. Only 52 days to go
